A rounder, bigger Tancho
A koi judge told me my Tancho spots were too small and not round. They were round, on the texture. The texture wraps a head that's narrow and long, so on the fish they came out as little ovals. Now the spot is measured on the fish itself,
Light on the scales: metallic, Ginrin and Doitsu
The shine on our metallic koi was painted on, so it never moved. now every scale has its own tilt.

A koi judge on r/Koi said all my fish had skinny tail roots, the bit just before the tail. On a real koi it stays thick, because that's the muscle that swims.
